Data Backup Reminder

Dear customers,
Recently we updated virtualization structure in CA, FR and SGP. In this week, we planned to update the virtualization structure for the old NC nodes, so we ordered a new NC server for VM migration and backup. However, the datacenter technician accidentally took out a disk from our running node for new server, when they found the problem and put it back, our RAID-5 array was lost. We never thought this kind of ridicules mistake can be happened to us..
Fortunately, our engineers intervened in this accident in time, and after professional and careful attempts, completely recovered all the data from the degraded array and rebuilt the array. Although the VPS node was offline for about 20 hours, but no data loss occurred.
In server industry, data loss due to hardware failure or human factors frequently happens. We try our best to avoid data loss accidents, but accidents still may happen. Once again, we remind all users to schedule data backup regularly to avoid data loss caused by accidents.
